Jean Wactawski-Wende, PhD, was appointed dean of the school in
March of 2015. She also serves as professor in the department of
Epidemiology and Environmental Health.
R. Lorraine Collins, PhD, leads the school’s effort to promote, facilitate and sustain research productivity and excellence. She also serves as professor of community health and health behavior.
Gaspar A. Farkas oversees the school’s academic standards and student support services. He also serves as associate professor of exercise and nutrition sciences.
Michael F. Noe, MD, MPH, provides leadership for the school’s activities related to clinical education and practice, as well as community relations and engagement.
Heather Orom, PhD, leads efforts for the school’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. She also serves as associate professor and director of graduate studies in the department of community health and health behavior.
As COO/CFO, Michael C. Redfern, MBA, MEd, serves as the chief of staff for the Dean's office, overseeing the operating and financial functions of the school, with a strong focus on sustainability and growth.
Gregory Wilding, PhD is interim chairperson and professor in the department of biostatistics.
Gary A. Giovino, PhD, MS is chairperson and professor in the department of community health and health behavior.
Jo L. Freudenheim, PhD is chairperson, UB distinguished professor and professor in the department of epidemiology and environmental health.
Dave Hostler, PhD is chairperson and professor in the department of exercise and nutrition sciences.
Susan E. Bennett, PT, DPT, EdD, NCS, MSCS is interim chairperson and clinical professor in the department of rehabilitation science.
