Community Engagement

The School of Public Health and Health Professions is active not only within the Western New York community, but throughout the State of New York and the nation. It is our mission to improve the health of populations, communities and individuals from regionally to globally.

Helping you solve our community’s health concerns

Work with the School of Public Health and Health Professions to improve the health of our community. Our mission is to improve the health of populations, communities and people from Western New York to around the world, and you can help. Through community-university partnerships, we seek to solve our most pressing health concerns.

How we can work together

We collaborate with a wide range of community partners in a number of different ways including student internships, community-based research, professional development offerings and service learning. And that’s just the beginning.

The benefits of collaboration

Organizations in our community often face complex and longstanding challenges. By combining the wisdom, experience and expertise of our faculty with the excitement, innovation and creativity of our students, we can help to meet those challenges. We can work with you to build capacity, as well as offer you new perspectives and insights. In turn, you can provide our students and faculty with transformational experiences, greater awareness and understanding of broader health and social issues. Together we will strive to build a beneficial and sustained partnership that boosts the hard work of our community partners.
