Dr. Lahm is Chief Environmental Scientist, Ecology and Environment, Inc., Lancaster, NY. Previously she was an anthropological and zoological consultant, Wildlife Conservation Society, New York, USA for Gabon National Parks Program.
Dr. Lahm has twenty years of scientific field research and consultancies for academia, private industry and conservation organizations in the fields of human interaction with/impact on the environment, tropical forest ecosystems, human/wildlife conflict, mammal community and disease ecology, and environmental conservation. Dr. Lahm also has ten years of experience in husbandry and management of mammals in zoological parks.
Dr. Lahm, as a chief environmental scientist and liaison for Africa of Ecology and Environment, Inc., is responsible for the development of environmental projects on the African continent, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Health-related field work is within the purview of this program. Understanding ecological and ecosystem dynamics is a key variable to effectively implementing any type of assessment, monitoring, mitigation or restoration.
