Research Interests: epidemiology of physical activity in multiethnic populations, determinants of health disparities and the effect of physical activity


Dr. Crespo is an adjunct research professor at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and past President of the Mid Atlantic Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine. He is a current member of the American College of Epidemiology, American Public Health Association, American Heart Association Council on Epidemiology. He serves as a consultant to various projects with the Pan American Health Organization of the World Health Organization, and the Montgomery County Latino Health Initiative in Maryland. He has served in the Board of Directors of the American Council on Exercise, Musicians United for a Superior Education, and CASA de Maryland.
