The School of Public Health and Health Professions is actively engaged in creating knowledge to improve public health and health practice through its diverse spectrum of research initiatives. The NIH-funded Women's Health Initiative, of which Buffalo was one of the vanguard sites, and the Center for Assistive Technology are two of the school's larger organized research programs. In addition to research within departments and centers, faculty and graduate students collaborate with researchers in many departments throughout the university and beyond.
