Research. Application. Collaboration.

Theory. Practice. Training.

Finding the meaningful stories in data.

The Department of Biostatistics offers programs of graduate study leading to the MA and the PhD in Biostatistics as an applied science that unites statistical theory and methods with research in the life sciences—research that can range from the molecular (statistical genomics) to whole populations (epidemiology)—to produce knowledge and understanding of biological processes. Biostatisticians work in the life sciences wherever research produces data.
