Research Topics

Pediatric environmental epidemiology with a focus on maternal and pediatric exposure to various environmental toxins/toxicants (e.g. lead, perfluorinated compounds, and phthalates) and the impact on immune dysfunction, endocrine disruption, respiratory disease, vaccine response, allergy, and breastfeeding success.

Summary

Marina Oktapodas Feiler, PhD, completed her master's degree in epidemiology in the Department of Preventive Medicine at UB in 2015. She completed her PhD in epidemiology at the University of Rochester in 2019. She also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship under a T32 toxicology training grant through the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) in the Department of Environmental Medicine at the University of Rochester. She has also worked as a research assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Temple University for two years.
