About EEH

Our department focuses on understanding the determinants and prevention of disease; the role of environmental factors in health and disease; and how the administration of health programs can help implement this understanding.

We offer a doctoral and a master’s degree in epidemiology; our MS program includes a specialized concentration in clinical research. We also offer Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees with concentrations in epidemiology, environmental health and health services administration, as well as collaborative programs where you can earn an MPH and a medical, business, law, social work or pharmacy degree or an undergraduate degree in exercise science.

Additionally, our programs include a collaborative program with UB’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the Medical Sciences Training Program (MSTP), leading to both an MD and a PhD.
