Projects by Location

Faculty and students are engaged in several projects in Africa, including working to reduce child mortality rates caused by malaria in Uganda, and evaluating hand washing promotion programs in Zambia.
From examining the burden of lung cancer on Chinese women to facilitating cervical cancer screening in India, GHI is committed to improving the health of people of all ages in areas across Asia.
Closer to home, GHI researchers are studying the health effects herbicides such as Agent Orange have had on Vietnam veterans, and are studying breast cancer rates in Puerto Rico.
SPHHP faculty are investigating pediatric environmental epidemiology in Uruguay, nutrition in Peru, and leading global learning opportunities in Jamaica and Brazil.
