Rehabilitation Science Hooding Ceremony

Faculty and students on stage at the annual hooding ceremony.

The annual Hooding Ceremony is reserved for candidates who have attained academic degrees beyond a bachelor’s degree. During the hooding of the candidate, faculty members place the hood on the graduate, signifying success in completing the graduate program.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program enacted the Hooding Ceremony in 2004 when the first DPT students graduated. The Occupational Therapy (OT) program began hooding in 2005 when the first BS/MS OT students graduated.
