Students will complete 12 prerequisite courses in the first two years, or the pre-professional phase, of the BS/MS program.
Students must earn a grade of “C-” or better in all courses and a minimum GPA of 2.8 to be eligible to apply to the professional portion of the program. Students must also complete 8 prerequisite courses prior to applying to the professional program. These must include OT 201, ES 207, STA 119, and PHY 101. The remaining prerequisite courses must be completed before entering the professional program.

Comparative Primate Anatomy (APY 345/346) is not required but is highly recommended.
In addition to the prerequisite courses, you will complete UB’s Curriculum requirements in preparation for the professional sequence of the program.
Schedule an appointment with an advisor from the Office for Academic and Student Affairs (OASA) each semester to make sure that you are on track with the courses you need to apply to the Occupational Therapy Program.
