Applying to the Professional Portion

Occupation Therapy intended majors must apply and be admitted to the professional portion of the program.

Who Should Apply?

UB students enrolled as OT intended majors who want to continue in the five-year BS/MS program and who have completed all required prerequisite.

When Should I Apply?

The application opens November 25.

Students are expected to submit their applications by January 6 of the year in which they plan to begin the professional portion.

How Do I Apply?

  • Complete the admissions application by applying to the professional portion of the program through Graduate School Application Manager.
  • Volunteer/Observation Hours Form should be uploaded with your application. The original form should be mailed or hand delivered to: Jaclyn Levesque, University at Buffalo South Campus, 532 Kimball Tower, 3435 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214.
  • Read the Occupational Therapy Program’s Technical Standards. After you read the Technical Standards, review and sign the Technical Standards Form.
  • The original form should be mailed or hand delivered to: Jaclyn Levesque, University at Buffalo South Campus, 532 Kimball Tower, 3435 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214.
  • An application fee of $50 is required. You will be able to remit the application fee after you submit your application.

What Happens After I Apply?

  • Students who submit the Occupational Therapy Graduate School Application will receive a confirmation email indicating that their application has been received.
  • All applications are reviewed by the OT Professional Program Admissions Committee.
  • Students are notified of the admission committee’s decision by the end of February.
