Accelerated MPH Option

Highly qualified and motivated students can earn the MPH degree in 12 months.

This accelerated option is designed for students coming into the MPH program with significant work or academic experience in public health or a related field. Students complete foundational and concentration coursework, electives, a field training experience and a culminating project over a fall, winter, spring and summer semester.

Accelerated MPH Student Qualifications

To qualify for the accelerated MPH, you must have one of the following:

  • A terminal degree such as an MD, PhD or JD
  • Post-graduate work experience as a physician, nurse, pharmacist or other healthcare provider
  • Significant post-baccalaureate public health work experience

Applicants who do not meet these qualifications should apply to the standard MPH.
