John E. Vena, PhD is Professor and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina (appointed September 2003). Dr. Vena was Professor of Social and Preventive Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (1981-2003) and Director of the Environment & Society Institute (1999-2003).
