Abstract: The purpose of this project is to explore the relationship between factors that may influence treatment outcomes among people living with HIV in Western New York. This is of high importance, given the disproportionate effect of HIV within the LGBTQ+ community. Specific aims of this project are: a) to understand the relationship between various sociocontextual factors and treatment outcomes among people living with HIV; b) to explore the relationship between food insecurity/food insufficiency and medication adherence among people living with HIV; and c) to identify barriers and facilitators to achieving optimal treatment outcomes among people living with HIV to inform future intervention development.
