DPT/MPH Program

The DPT curriculum provides a solid understanding of movement and exercise in healthy populations. The graduate professional DPT program focuses on clinical populations and teaching the assessment and treatment of individuals with a variety of ailments. You will earn the highest professional degree in the field. With a DPT, you’ll be eligible to sit for the licensure exam to practice physical therapy in any state.

Prerequisite coursework is required before applying to the graduate portion of the DPT program.  

The MPH curriculum will provide a comprehensive understanding of public health philosophy, as well as the practical knowledge and skills needed to address current and emerging public health problems. You’ll complete a minimum of 43 MPH credits including coursework, field training and an culminating project. You can also share up to 9 credits as MPH electives or field training experiences from public health-related DPT practicums with the MPH field training experience with approval from the MPH concentration director. Other requests for shared courses are reviewed and approved by the MPH concentration director based on public health-related content, public health or population level integration into content, and applicability to the concentration.

You will need to submit separate applications to and be admitted to the Master of Public Health program and the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
