Welcome!
Did you know that UB already has over forty investigators spanning nine schools, actively engaged in sponsored research and development in the areas of aging, disability, rehabilitation and the environment? Five of them are among the top thirty award recipients on campus. You can benefit by tapping into this core set of expertise.
Did you know that NRC TRADE is part of UB's Strategic Strength on Aging and Chronic Disability?
Did you know that UB is the geographic center of a crescent of related expertise in the academic and corporate sectors that runs from Toronto to Rochester? Collectively they represent the single largest concentration of expertise in North America. You can access this regional resource network.
Did you know that NRC TRADE is identifying faculty with research interests or capabilities in areas related to Technology, Rehabilitation, Aging, Disability, and Environments? We're seeking research that can be developed (for example) into the next generation of health care, rehabilitation, assistive technology, or trans-generational consumer products; enhanced environments (e.g. smart homes); and advanced service delivery (e.g. telehealth and telerehabiltiation). We're seeking faculty who are excited by the idea of working with the private sector; by opportunities for research collaborations with others in the UB community; or by seeing their ideas turned into products.
If NRC TRADE appeals to you, please fill out the brief Faculty Interest Profile. Completing the FIP will automatically link you to others expressing related interests, and will generate your invitation to an upcoming networking session. The networking session will include both structured and open forum discussions, as well as further information on the resources available in the Western New York and Southern Ontario region.
This project is funded through the 2004-2005 UB Interdisciplinary Research and Creative Activities Fund (IRCAF). We thank UB for its support!
