MD/PhD Collaborative Program
Program Description
Earn Two Graduate Degrees Concurrently
UB allows students to complete the requirements for two graduate
degrees simultaneously in some areas. This leads to a reduction
in the time to degree as well as an opportunity to integrate coursework.
An example of these dual degrees includes The School of Medicine's
Medical
Scientist Training Program which provides highly talented students
with an opportunity to combine intensive scientific training with
medical school experience, allowing students to concurrently earn
an MD degree and a PhD.
Another opportunity exists in the Master
of Public Health program, which has cooperative arrangements
with UB's Law School (JD) and Medical School (MD) programs, so that
in addition to earning an MPH, students can also receive a degree
in law or medicine.
