Profile
Dr. Donahue's expertise and interests concern the role of immunity and inflammation in atherosclerosis and diabetes and other chronic illnesses.

Research Interests
My research interests lie in the intersection of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. I am particularly interested in the loss of the female protection that occurs in diabetes, as well as the role of insulin resistance in atherosclerosis in the non-diabetic condition. As the population ages, the impact of diabetes will assume greater public health importance.
