Application
Students must apply to or be enrolled at the University at Buffalo prior to completing the promotion to professional sequence application.
Program/Promotion to Professional Sequence Application
Students should submit both the promotion to professional sequence application and the volunteer/work experience form by January 15 of their sophomore year.
The program reserves the right to not admit any student who demonstrates academic dishonesty or who fails to meet the professional standards of occupational therapy.
Graduate Application for M.S. Portion of Degree
As an administrative requirement, students must complete the graduate application available online at the department website during the fall semester of their fourth year in the program.
Students must also pay a $50.00 (US funds) application fee.
Time to Completion
In order to earn a combined BS in Occupational Science / MS in Occupational Therapy degree, students must complete all requirements of the professional component of the program, including fieldwork and the graduate research project, within a five-year time period. The professional component starts in the summer semester of the third year and includes ANA 407 Gross Anatomy and OT 351 Occupational Practice Skills I.
