Department of Rehabilitation Science
Ability. Promise. Growth.

Rehabilitation science encompasses several disciplines—among them occupational therapy and physical therapy—devoted to the practice and study of care that seeks to restore, improve, or extend capabilities that persons have lost, or never fully developed, because of injury, disease, age, or disability. Our department, which has achieved prominent national visibility, offers accredited professional programs in occupational therapy and physical therapy that lead to eligibility to take national certification examinations required for professional licensure, and an advanced certificate program in assistive technology.
