Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
The Doctor of Physical Therapy program (DPT) is a 3 year graduate program. Students who plan to enter the DPT program may apply after 3 years in the Exercise Science program. Therefore, high school students who wish to study Physical Therapy should apply to the Exercise Science program first. From high school to graduating with a DPT degree will take a minimum of 6 years. Students who have completed some coursework at other colleges or universities should plan to transfer into the Exercise Science program until all prerequisite courses for the DPT program are met. More information on the Exercise Science program, can be found on the Exercise and Nutrition Sciences website.
If you have attended any other college or university prior to enrolling
at the University at Buffalo, please go to Transfers and set up an account. Once you have established an account, please
input any courses you have taken or will take prior to admission
to UB. The program will evaluate the courses against the Doctor
of Physical Therapy Program prerequisites. Send your login name, not password, to MaryAnn Venezia or Doug Frye, PT further review
