Research Administrative Services (RAS) is the centralized research administration unit for the School of Public Health and Health Professions (SPHHP). Our mission is to enhance the SPHHP research enterprise by providing professional guidance and administrative support to faculty and staff pursuing external funding for research, service, and scholarly activities. To this end, RAS staff:
- perform general and targeted searches for potential funding sources
- disseminate RFAs and program announcements from major funders
- coordinate the selection process for SPHHP responses to limited-submission funding opportunity announcements
- liaison with Sponsored Projects Services, funding agencies, and collaborating institutions on behalf of the PI
- coordinate and assist with proposal preparation and submission
- advise PIs on the interpretation and application of university and sponsor policies and procedures
- maintain data on overall SPHHP proposal and award activity
- advise PIs on a wide range of pre- and post-award issues
We are committed to helping faculty build and grow their research programs and to supporting the expansion of SPHHP’s research initiatives.
