Functional Exercise

The University at Buffalo Functional Exercise (UBFE) program was developed to encourage older adults to increase their physical activities.

Exercise is imbedded in activity of daily living with reminder cues. We have tested its effectiveness and the results are encouraging. The simple version of the UBFE has been adopted as a fall prevention strategy by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. Access to this version will be able in spring 2017.
