Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and educational methods for occupational therapy students.
Kimberley Persons, DHS, OTR/L is a clinical assistant professor and the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the occupational therapy program. She has ten years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home and community-based setting. Persons has presented on developmental disabilities in national and international forums. In addition, she has worked in a variety of settings including school systems, home care and long term care.
Persons is also interested in international service learning. She has mentored occupational and physical therapy students in Ukraine and Greece. She scheduled to lead medical and allied health students to Brazil to participate in a university exchange program.
