What factors do you consider for admission to the DPT program?

Admission decisions will be made based on the following:

  • GPA in the prerequisite courses
  • GRE scores
  • Recommendation forms
  • The online essay
  • Ratings by members of the exercise science faculty (for UB exercise science students only)
  • Experiences that the student has had, as reported in the essay, background information, recommendation forms and/or the interview
  • TOEFL scores (if applicable)

How long does it take to complete the DPT program?

The DPT program is a three-year, graduate professional program that follows three years of undergraduate coursework. From high school to graduating with a DPT degree will take a minimum of six years.
