Seeing the Forest and the Trees

Sarah Klein

MPH program, health services administration concentration

I was a biology major in college and I wrote an honors thesis on a societal issue involving the precautionary principle and genetically modified foods which got me interested in public health and epidemiology. The MPH program has opened a lot of opportunities for me and exposed me to different new areas of policy development and biomedical service quality. I spent the summer doing an internship at the national Red Cross offices in Washington, D.C. I'm getting a different knowledge base—or reference base—in this program. I'm seeing things from a global perspective.
