There is a great future for this field. It's not at all just sitting around working on calculations—it takes a lot of imagination. In biostatistics, many different ways can be applied to solve a problem; there's a good bit of creativity involved. The more you know the better in this field.
The biostatistics program at UB is growing rapidly. It's great because you interact closely with all the faculty because this is such a young department. Right now is a great time to get into the program.
