General Preventive Medicine Residency: cancer control track
I am doing an internship next spring at the American Academy of Family Physicians' center for family medicine policy development in Washington, D.C. The great thing about the general preventive medicine residency is that it prepares one for so many careers in public health. I can pursue a career in research, a career in policy, a career with the health department, or any number of other careers. Even if I decide to practice medicine, this experience will enhance my care of patients and help me to conduct continuous quality improvement in my practice.
