I came to this program because I knew Professor Atif Awad's work. I had just completed a BS in culinary arts and nutrition at Johnson and Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. I'm working as a diet technician at Erie County Medical Center while I study, and the experience is useful because I have strong theory from my coursework—and actually seeing it in the real world reinforces my studies.
