The Office for Academic and Student Affairs (OASA) is the centralized advisement and recruitment unit in the School of Public Health and Health Professions (SPHHP). We provide advisement services to undergraduate students pursuing academic programs offered in the School of Public Health and Health Professions. This includes advising undergraduate students who are preparing for entrance into SPHHP's professional level programs. We also provide basic information on the School's graduate and professional programs and refer students to specific contact persons in those programs for individualized advisement. The overarching mission of OASA is to provide academic advising, recruitment and retention efforts that strengthen and enhance the diversity of the student body.

We believe that recruitment contributes to the quality of academic programs and that advisement contributes to students' successful transition to university life and enhances learning. OASA encourages students to take active responsibility for their learning, and optimize utilization of resources within the university.
