The school is not accredited by CEPH. How does that affect the degree?
The school is not yet accredited by CEPH (Council on Education for Public Health). CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the US Department of Education to accredit schools of public health. One can expect that federal government jobs which specifically require the MPH for the job will also require that the MPH was received from a CEPH accredited school. This is typically not the case with state and county government agencies or with non-governmental entities (for example, health care providers, academia, or corporations). Graduates who graduated within three years of a school being accredited by CEPH, or who graduated from a school while it was accredited by CEPH, would be eligible to sit for the certification exam offered by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
