BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Distinguished Speakers Series event with Roxane Gay, originally scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight (April 5) has been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday, April 13, after her travel plans were disrupted due to unforeseen flight complications and delays.  She regrets having to miss today’s scheduled appearance at UB.

The rescheduled event will be moved from Alumni Arena to the Center for the Arts Mainstage Theatre.  The event start time remains the same: 8 p.m.  Tickets issued for tonight’s event in Alumni Arena will be honored at the Center for the Arts.  Patrons do not need to obtain replacement tickets.

Updates about the rescheduled program will be provided on the Distinguished Speakers Series’ website www.buffalo.edu/ub-speakers, twitter (@ubdss), facebook (facebook.com/ubdss) and via Roxane Gay’s twitter (@rgay).

Ticket refund requests should be directed to the original point of sale (i.e., Alumni Arena Box Office, Ticketmaster.com) before April 13.  Series subscribers should contact Alumni Arena box office.
