SUNY Buffalo Student Wins Outstanding Trainee Abstract Award

Ms. Erin Walsh, a doctoral student in community health and health behavior at the University at Buffalo SUNY School of Public Health and Health Professions, received the Society for Behavioral Medicine’s Award for Outstanding Trainee Abstract in Health Decision Making during the Society’s recent annual meeting in New Orleans. Her abstract was selected as the winner based on its innovation, approach, and significance to the field of health decision making. The abstract summarized an experiment that examined whether a causal relation existed between feelings associated with fruits and future fruit consumption behavior.
