Ottenbacher, PhD, OTR, Russell Shearn Moody Distinguished Chair in Neurological Rehabilitation; Professor and Director, Division of Rehabilitation Sciences; and Director, Center for Rehabilitation Sciences, all at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

At the University of Texas Medical Branch, Kenneth J. Ottenbacher, PhD, OTR, serves as the Russell Shearn Moody Distinguished Chair in neurological rehabilitation; professor and director of the Division of Rehabilitation Sciences; and director of the Center for Rehabilitation Sciences. He is also senior associate dean for research and graduate education at the School of Health Professions, and associate director of the Sealy Center on Aging.

Prior to joining UTMB in 1996, Ottenbacher was a member of the University at Buffalo faculty. He was associate dean for research and graduate education for the then-School of Health Related Professions and a professor with the Department of Occupational Therapy. He later served as associate director of UB's Center for Functional Assessment Research and as a professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
