Topic: The Mediterranean Diet: A Historical Perspective and Where We are Now

Trevisan was founding dean of the School of Public Health and Health Professions and former chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health. While at UB, he achieved the rank of SUNY Distinguished Professor. He is currently the dean of the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and the interim provost of the City College of New York. His research focuses on the role of lifestyle and metabolic factors in the etiology and prevention of cardiovascular disease, with a special focus on the role of diet and alcohol use.
