Field Training Competencies

During their field training experience, MPH students develop two public health products that are meaningful to their placement site, such as health promotion messages, project reports, or data analyses graphs and charts.

The products they develop during their experience help students demonstrate at least five (5) public health competencies, at least three (3) of which are foundational, and the remaining two (2) of which may be foundational or concentration-specific.

Current students can learn more about the competency requirements of the MPH field training experience through the MPH Student Resources portal in UB Learns.
