At the University at Buffalo School of Public Health and Health Professions, our mission is simple; to improve the health of populations, communities and individuals both locally and globally through disciplinary and interdisciplinary education, research and service.  As researchers, practitioners and innovators, we work collaboratively to solve tomorrow's most pressing health challenges today.    

Recognized by the UB Alumni Association as a graduate under 40 who has made outstanding contributions to their career field, Brian King is quick to attribute his success to the education he received at UB.

It’s one of the only research centers in the world that allows scientists to study extreme environments, from a mile of ocean depth to nearly 23 miles into Earth’s stratosphere, and everything in between. And it’s back up and running in its home at UB.

UB was awarded $6.2 million for its Women's Health Initiative Extension Study from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health.

During the month-long hiatus between fall and spring semesters, when many students look forward to much-needed rest and relaxation, Sutanuka Bhattacharjya dedicated herself to helping patients in her native country, India.
