Located in 115a Kimball Tower, the lab is equipped with a Vicon
3-D motion capture system that is integrated with two force
platforms, and a 16-channel EMG system for measuring neuromuscular
response during locomotion and balance studies.

A video from the Biomechanics of Human Movement Laboratory shows
a 3D full-body kinematic model of skilled baseball pitching with
simultaneous ground reaction force recordings. Stride length
variation is then examined from the perspective that timing and
sequencing of throwing arm mechanics is altered, thereby increasing
susceptibility to throwing arm injury.
