Leah Caruso is a Registered Dietitian, Certified in New York State. Her work experience includes many years of Acute Care and Critical Care within a large teaching hospital with diverse disease states. Specialty experience includes Renal and Transplant Nutrition, Cardiac Care, Eating Disorders/Psychiatric Care, Pediatrics, Medical Rehab/Subacute Care, Outpatient Counseling (Prenatal, Pediatrics, Adults), Leadership. Caruso has been a clinical instructor and preceptor for the UB Dietetic Internship Program since its inception. She taught classes for the UB Undergraduate Nutrition Program for seven years and periodically provides lectures at the university and in the community on various nutrition related topics. Caruso trains and prepares UB Dietetic Interns as entry level Dietitians in their clinical settings and helps to coordinate rotations within the Internship. Her goal is to promote strong practice skills and support professional growth for all Dietetic Interns in our program.
