Requirements

  • 36 credit hours of graduate coursework
  • A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum grade of B- in every required course

Prerequisites

You may complete the following prerequisites at UB, or through equivalent courses at other universities or colleges. To ensure that courses outside of UB are pre-approved for transfer, visit the Transfer Articulation System (TAURUS) website.

  • CHE 101/113 and CHE 102/114 General Chemistry I and II
  • PHY 101 College Physics I and PHY 151 lab;  PHY 102 College Physics II and PHY 152 lab
  • PGY 300 Human Physiology
  • MTH 121 Survey of Calculus or MTH 141 College Calculus 1
  • PSY 101 Introductory Psychology
  • NTR 108 Human Nutrition
  • STA 119  Statistical Methods or PSY 207 Psychological Statistics

Curriculum

Clinical Experience (Practicum)

A fundamental part of your education is your participation in a practicum, a 3-credit clinical experience. This training in on or off-campus learning environments will provide you with real-world, hands-on clinical practice. Learning to synthesize theory into practicality will help you transition from student to professional.

Informal Degree Requirements

You may need to complete specialty training or certification to participate in certain research studies
