GRE Exemptions

While GRE scores are required for admission to the MPH program in most cases, there are several situations where you may be exempted from providing scores.

You do not need to provide GRE scores if:

  • You have an MD, PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited university in the United States.
  • You are an applicant for the combined MPH/JD program and you are approved for a GRE waiver.
  • You submit MCAT scores instead. However, if the admissions committee determines that the MCAT scores are not satisfactory, or your courses and grades are a concern, you may still be required to submit GRE scores.
  • You submit PCAT scores instead. However, if the admissions committee determines that the PCAT scores are not satisfactory, or your courses and grades are a concern, you may still be required to submit GRE scores.
