Exercise Science MS
Program Description
Graduate programs in exercise science at the University at Buffalo are research oriented. This orientation gives our master’s program graduates a competitive advantage when they move into the job market or go on to further graduate and professional study. We offer two options for our MS students.
The thesis option MS requires an independent research study from which the candidate develops and defends a thesis. Students who intend to continue their graduate study should take this track.
The exam option MS requires participation in a research program and a practicum. This track is appropriate for students who plan to conclude their graduate study with the completion of this degree or to continue in a professional degree program such as medicine.
