Jen is focused on improving the socio-economic outcomes
resulting from research and development projects. Her most recent
work is embodied in the Need to Knowledge Model, which
encourages the application of new product development best
practices in all projects that intend to result in commercial
products and services.
Jen is a published author in the domains of technology transfer and assistive technology. She is currently leading the Center on KT4TT’s Industry Profile project, and development of the Technology Transfer Planning Template. She provides technical assistance to grantees and others engaged in technology transfer activities.
Jen holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and management with a concentration in marketing — both from the University at Buffalo. She has completed the SickKids Learning Institute’s Knowledge Translation Professional Certificate course, and been brought back as a faculty member to instruct a technology transfer module. Her experience includes grant writing, consulting, and providing market research services to companies, small businesses, and inventors. She has also served on professional boards, and was a founding member of the Buffalo Niagara chapter of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), where she most recently held the position of vice chair.
