Description: Transgenerational design is the process whereby products and services are designed to consider the effects of aging such as depreciating eyesight and hearing loss as well as reduced mobility. This design ethos covers how products can be used intergenerationally but also be designed to accommodate use over time.

Advantages: This set of tools can be employed throughout the design process to improve the amount of time a product will be useful to a particular user.

Limitations: Can be a very time consuming activity.
