Description: This tool is a subset of the Inclusive Design Toolkit. This tool represents a large database of users with a range of disabilities and quantified information with regard to use of a product according to their disability. These results show a calculated exclusion factor for a range of users with varying abilities and limitations in relation to vision, hearing, thinking, communication, reach and stretch, dexterity and locomotion. The exclusion calculations can be used to calculate potential market sizes.

Advantages: This tool in particular allows designers communicate with marketing and management about the potential market of a product under its current design.

Limitations: Tool is limited to population statistics in the UK. Total population figure from 1997 (for the UK) is outdated.
