Installation

Option 1

  1. Download the tsc package from this website
  2. Unzip the downloaded file and save it under R/library, or the path to the directory containing stored library (can be obtained in R with the command .libPaths())
  3. load the library into R using the command library(tsc)

Option 2 (command line)

  1. Download the tsc package from this website
  2. In command line use the command: R CMD INSTALL tsc_1.0.zip (or whatever the package version you are using)
  3. Open R and load the library using the command library(tsc)

Option 3 (GUI Version)

  1. Download zip file
  2. Open R, select the menu option package, choose install packages from local zip, navigate to saved file, click on open
  3. load the library into R using the command library(tsc)

Description

The tsc package provides tsc.test( ) function which performs exact parametric/nonparametric likelihood ratio tests for two-sample comparison.

The tsc package performs the two-sample comparison using exact procedures: for the LRT to test H_0: X~N, Y~N, E(X)=E(Y), Var(X)=Var(Y) vs. H_1: X~N, Y~N, E(X) is not = E(Y), Var(X) is not = Var(Y); for the LRT combined with the S-W test to test H_0: X~N, Y~N, E(X)=E(Y), Var(X)=Var(Y) vs. H_1: X, Y do not follow normal distributions, E(X) is not = E(Y), Var(X) is not = Var(Y); for the DBEL ratio test to test H_0: X~N, Y~N, E(X)=E(Y), Var(X)=Var(Y) vs. H_1: X, Y do not follow normal distributions, E(X) is not = E(Y), Var(X) is not = Var(Y). (Here X~N means X distributed following a normal distribution.)
