Competencies

Competencies describe activities or behaviors you should be able to demonstrate after completing your program.

  • Communicate statistical information effectively, in writing, to an identified audience such as public health and medical professionals, other scientists, and/or undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Communicate statistical information effectively, orally, to an identified audience such as public health and medical professionals, other scientists, and/or undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Work with an advanced statistical theory.
  • Apply advanced statistical models to the analysis of data.
  • Conduct original research, solely or collaboratively, on the theory and methodology of biostatistics.
  • Co-author at least one publishable-quality manuscript on theory and methodology of biostatistics.
