MA in Biostatistics
Application Information
Following are the requirements for the Masters program.
- Baccalaureate degree or equivalent
- At least three semesters of calculus are required
- At least one semester of statistics is strongly recommended
- Students are drawn from various areas of undergraduate studies. However, a strong background in mathematics or statistics is needed.
- The University minimum requirements are 213 computer/550 paper-based version or an overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS with no individual band score below 6.0
- The department will consider all students meeting the University requirements but normally we require a TOEFL score of 600 or above paper/200 computer-based/100 Internet

The application must include your transcripts, three Letters of Recommendation, GRE Scores, TOEFL score (if applicable) and an application fee of $50 made payable to University at Buffalo.
Deadline for Fall semester is April 1. Admission in the spring semester is possible but not encouraged.
Students interested in fellowships and assistantships must apply for the positions by March 1st.
